The Combined Cycle Power Plant "El Sauz" stands as a key infrastructure in the energy landscape, formed by a set of 5 units that deploy their capacity to generate an impressive average of 591 megawatts, which represents an impressive 1.5% of the Effective Installed Capacity of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE). Strategically located, this power plant plays a crucial role in providing power to the region, supplying a total of 3,900 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity. This considerable flow of energy feeds mainly the states of Querétaro, Hidalgo and Guanajuato, contributing to the economic development and well-being of the communities in this geographic area. The efficiency inherent in the plant's combined cycle ensures effective and sustainable energy production. The five units operate together to optimize performance, generating a significant impact on the region's energy matrix and meeting society's growing electricity demands.
This project represents a significant milestone in power generation in Mozambique and will make a significant contribution to the region's electrical infrastructure. The description of the Temane thermal power plant highlights its efficient design and its ability to provide safe and reliable electrical power using natural gas from the Pande-Temane fields. With five gas turbogenerators and a 5x1 multi-shaft configuration, the plant is well equipped to generate a considerable amount of power, meeting the demand of up to 1.5 million households. The inclusion of key facilities such as heat recovery steam generators, a 400 kV substation, and other essential components ensures the plant's comprehensiveness and optimal performance. In addition, the project covers not only power generation, but also crucial aspects such as transportation, electromechanical assembly and commissioning. Commissioning in 2024 is expected to mark the beginning of the Temane 450MW Combined Cycle Power Plant's significant contribution to the power grid, strengthening generation capacity and providing power to a large number of households in the region.

The facility will consist of a single-stream, "CHP-ready" Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) with a nominal capacity to process up to 370,000 tons of waste per year. It will integrate a complete combustion system, heat recovery and flue gas treatment plant, supplying steam to a steam turbine generator. The site is located within the existing Giffords recycling complex on Kelvin Way, approximately 1 km south of West Bromwich town center. Waste will be delivered to the plant by vehicles and deposited in a depot. The combustion system will be fed from the bunker by an overhead crane equipped with a grab. The residues, including bottom ash and boiler ash, will be processed into off-site aggregates. It is important to note that the scope of the project does not cover any reprocessing system. The plant will be designed with the objective of maintaining an approximate gross electrical output of about 49 MWe.
DAKHLA -LOTUS CONTROL has been selected by FISIA ITALIMPIANTI to supply the Check Valves for the water desalination plant in Dakhla Morocco, a project that is designed to mark a milestone in water supply in a region that has historically faced challenges related to the scarcity of water resources. With an impressive production capacity, estimated at between 90,000 and 100,000 cubic meters of water per day, this plant will play an essential role in driving sustainable development. One of the distinctive features of this project is its ability to catalyze agricultural growth in previously arid areas. The desalination plant is expected to provide water for the irrigation of 5,000 hectares of land, transforming these previously unproductive tracts into fertile land suitable for agriculture. This aspect of the project not only has an immediate impact on local food security, but also opens up new economic opportunities for the community. Environmental sustainability is also at the heart of this initiative, as the desalination plant will be powered by energy from a 40 megawatt (MW) wind farm. The initial delivery of the turbines for this wind farm marks a significant step towards energy independence and reduction of the carbon footprint associated with desalination.
